Thank you for supporting ZA Carnival

‘Seeing you smile makes me happy.’
It is a pity that ZA Carnival can’t be open to public anymore due to the pandemic. However, looking back to the past few weeks, we are thankful for having you to co-create every happy, fun, and unforgettable moments. ZA Carnival couldn’t be perfect without you!
The ideation of ZA Carnival was curated 6 months ago, and it was bizarre and crazy. We wanted to share ZA’s stories through a big branding campaign, and we brought up 100+ campaign ideas subsequently. We thought of having a product launch in a conventional meeting venue, an online conference through AR, a pop-up event in a landmark shopping mall, and much more…At the very end, we decided to host a ‘ZA Carnival’ in Central for 3 weeks.
Some of you may question: “Why hosting the ZA Carnival?”. For those who came to visit us two weeks ago, you might see a light box with vivid colors that says , ‘seeing you smile makes me happy’ in Chinese. We wish you to bring happiness to all of you, and that’s the purpose of ZA Carnival.
Upholding the philosophy of ‘community-driven’, we didn’t integrate too many ZA products to the event (Well, except the ZA products which could be won from the physical PowerDraw LOL). Instead, we’ve provided fabulous delicacies and nostalgic games in the Carnival, hoping that it would become the Hong Kong’s best destination for fun.
To be honest, it was never easy to organise a carnival. Our ideas were banned 100+ times. We couldn’t remember how many venues we had explored, but we had 100+ internal meetings for sure. What you can see in the venue now, including the design of every booth, window sticker, staircase sticker, Passport, Branding Wall and even a single word in the Mirror Room, had been revised and refined by our Branding Team countless times, with endless ‘final versions. They might not be perfect, but we tried our best to present the best to you.
There are so many unforgettable moments, such as seeing the window stickers and billboard for the first time, packing 1500 PowerDraw capsules manually, seeing colleagues who should have worked in the Cyberport office being the booth helpers, and having visitors who travelled far away to Central just to show their support. All these little moments mean so much to us.
Thank you all ZA colleagues, who have helped to pick up the beam bags, cheered at the game booths, given out chops and gifts to the visitors, installed the PowerDraw capsules, and more. This shows our teamwork which contributed hugely to the success of ZA Carnival! |
The public participation at the Carnival was unexpectedly great. Every day, we had seen queues in each booth, kids and their parents being amused after catching the PowerDraw capsules and getting excited at the Battle game booth, and so on. We felt contented and delighted, and the effort was totally worth it. To all the visitors, thank you for making the ZA Carnival a great one!
‘What’s next?’
Unfortunately, ZA Carnival could only be open to public for a week. Regardless of the reluctance to say goodbye, we are happy that the event has drawn 7700+ visitors and received many positive feedbacks. Learning from the event, we will continue to ‘Be the Game Changer’ and bring a different experience to you.
Last but not least, please #Staysafe and we cannot wait to see you soon. We look forward to co-create more beautiful memory with you in 2022. If you’ve visited ZA Carnival and enjoyed the event, please do not hesitate to give a ‘like’ to this article. This would be the most significant support to us!
